Graffiti Art Info
Graffiti is the name given to writing or drawings that have been painted or scratched on surfaces in public places. It dates back to ancient times, some would even include cave drawings in it's history.
It ranges from words and tags to large colourful paintings. There are many different styles available across the world that are produced using a variety of medium including marker pens, paint, and spray paint.
Over the years Graffiti has been used to express different messages such as political, social or links to music, and especially with the large paintings, used to uplift and decorate areas that would otherwise be uninspiring.
As it can be an amazing form of expression and beautiful to admire, we were inspired to create jewellery that promoted and celebrated this art form.
Our graffiti art jewellery is printed onto recycled paper, so our pendants make ideal 1st (paper) wedding anniversary gifts.
We respect the skill of Graffiti artists so we currently use artwork that is in the public domain. Where possible we include the artists name and location of original artwork.
We work with abstract details to create unique pieces of art from the original, cast them in resin and set them into silver plated bezels. Because we use details of artwork every piece is unique and may differ slightly from the examples shown.
