- Open the app and create login (email address is optional on some devices)
- Skip the "let's make an aura" page
- In the "discover auras" search box type munkimagik exactly as written here (please double-check spelling in case of auto-correct)
- Important! Follow either munkimagik or munki_magik (for commissions from April 2019) in the app - tap on our Munki logo and tap follow (you won't be able to play our soundwaves without following us)
- Hit the back button twice to get back to the "discover auras" page (this step may vary on different devices)
- Tap the blue button (looks like a viewfinder) to open your smartphone camera with bouncing circles
- Focus on your soundwave art or any of our soundwaves online to play the soundwave and to see the original waveform
- NB time taken for the app to lock on to the artwork in order to play may vary on different devices
FAQs
I've installed the app on my phone, why won't it play my soundwave?
- You have to follow munkimagik (all one word) or munki_magik from April 2019 for commissions (and check auto-correct doesn't change the spelling) in the app for it to work with your soundwave
- Make sure you allow app permissions ie allow the app to access your phone and camera
- You may need to close the app and open it again
- Try wiping your camera lens with a soft cloth
- Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app following the steps above
- If you're still having trouble, try restarting your phone
- Check you have WiFi or mobile data access
- Check you haven't run out of storage space on your phone
- Check your battery isn't low or your phone is in battery-saver mode
- Check that you have cleared recent cache on your phone
